The Grace Notes Music Foundation The Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarshipse Grace Notes Music Foundation is proud to announce that sixteen Music Scholarships have been awarded for the 2018-2019 school year. The scholarships are made possible by the Grace Notes Music Foundation's fundraising performances and events, as well as a generous partnership with the Makayla Joy Sitton Foundation, the Loxahatchee Club Educational Foundation, IBM, and private donors. With assistance from Grace Notes Music Foundation, students will enroll for private piano, guitar, voice and violin lessons.

The Grace Notes Music Foundation awards 3 types of individual music scholarships which are all based on financial need.

  • Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships
  • Need-based Scholarships for K-12
  • Sustaining Scholarships
  • Scholarships for graduates of the Makayla Joy Sitton Scholarships who demonstrate special merit
  • Emergency Scholarships
  • Short-term, Need-based Scholarships
  • Based on financial need, these scholarships provide individual, private music lessons during the school year for students in elementary, middle and high school.

Applications and guidelines are available annually in January.

September 2018 marks the Grace Notes Music Foundation's seventh anniversary as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships are the cornerstone on which the Foundation is built and the growth of this program is a priority of the Foundation. With continued growth, the Grace Notes Music Foundation's mission is to provide exceptional music education and performance opportunities for students from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds and to sponsor community enriching music events.
