While the Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships remain the cornerstone of the Grace Notes Music Foundation, in the ensuing years, the Foundation has expanded into community outreach as well. Grace Notes seeks to continue this programming and expand in our endeavor to provide music education and programming in our community.

GROUP MUSIC LESSONS:
Group Music Classes
Designed to provide group classes during the school year for underserved children, Grace Notes is planning to expand group music education classes to aftercare programs during the 2018-19 school year. Group classes are available for piano, ukulele, chorus and violin and serve 15-20 students in elementary school (3-5 grade).

SUMMER MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS:
Summer Music Camps
Group classes are provided for low income children in Palm Beach County. Currently, this program is serving 18 students in elementary school (grades 3-5) for a group piano camp.

Mobile Music Camp
This is a mobile program for underserved kids with live, interactive music presentations. The current program serves 15 elementary students per class.

Summer Music Camp Grants
Based on financial need, the grants provide summer band/orchestra camp scholarships to middle school students in northern Palm Beach County.

NEIGHBORHOOD MUSIC ENRICHMENT:
Concerts for Kids
This program sends underserved students to attend live, professional music programs in Palm Beach County. The target audience is elementary students from Title I schools and students in the Grace Notes Music Foundation scholarships and programs.

Instrument Assistance Program
This program assists economically-stressed students in purchasing a quality instrument with matching grants and instrument loans.

MLK Talent Award
Each year, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coordinating Committee sponsors a talent show for youth ages elementary through high school. Grace Notes is honored to award the winner in the high school division with a $200 prize.

Teen Team
This is a group of middle and high school students who perform and volunteer at Grace Notes Music Foundation events and provide community outreach by performing at assisted living facilities. This program also provides a valuable mentoring program for students interested in music education.

As it grows, the Grace Notes Music Foundation's mission is to provide exceptional music education and performance opportunities for students from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds and to sponsor community enriching music events.
