Grace Notes Foundation is proud of our Makayla Joy Sitton Scholars Joshua and Noah Porter, Nanako Kondo and Alondra Leyva -- who performed at the Loxahatchee Club

The Loxahatchee Club Educational Foundation is a major underwriter of the Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships. Every year, some of Grace Notes Foundation's scholars are invited to perform for their annual meeting. It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to perform, and to express gratitude for the support of the Loxahatchee Club Educational Foundation and its donors.

This year the Sixth Annual Carousel Concert-Thon Raised Over $24,500 for Grace Notes Music Foundation’s many important programs. ​The 2017 Carousel Concert-Thon was an incredible event! Throughout the day, thousands of people came to Downtown at the Gardens to enjoy the fun, activities, and over 28 very talented students, and student ensembles as they performend on the line-up PLUS professional groups including Fretmentor Bluegrass Group, The Tom Floyd Quartet, AND Grammy Nominated Singer/Songwriter Jamie Floyd!

In the Centre Court, student ensembles participating included Duncan Middle School Jazz Band, Lighthouse Suzuki Strings, the Benjamin School Rock Band, the Jupiter Academy of Music, and the Brad Schechter Studio.  

Another highlight was the "street musicians" lining The ​Boulevard. Restaurants, shops, and local businesses donated items the silent auction. An especially exciting portion of our evening program featured a performance by Grammy-nominated, singer/songwriter, Jamie Floyd. The Grace Notes Music Foundation was honored to celebrate the Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholars during a special "Grace Notes Hour." The need-based Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships are overseen by the Grace Notes Music Foundation.
Grace Notes Music Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization administering the Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships and providing 16 students with music lessons. This event will help to increase that number in the coming year. The scholarships are the cornerstone on which the Foundation is built. In the past year, the community outreach programming of the Foundation has also blossomed to reach even more children and teens.

  • The Summer Scholar Program provides summer band and music camp scholarships to economically-stressed students.
  • The Concerts for Kids Program sends under-served students to see live, professional music concerts.
  • The Summer Music Day Camps are a mobile program providing live, interactive music presentations.
  • The Instrument Assistance Program assists economically challenged students with matching grants and instrument loans.
  • The Grace Notes Teen Team is a group of middle and high school students who perform and volunteer at Grace Notes Music Foundation events and provide community outreach by performing at assisted living facilities.

As it grows, the Grace Notes Music Foundation's mission is to provide exceptional music education and performance opportunities for students from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds and to sponsor community enriching music events.

Grace Notes Music Foundation would like to thank all donors and sponsors including Jupiter Academy of Music, Kretzer Piano Music Foundation, Downtown at the Gardens,  95.5 The Palm, and those who donated to the Silent Auction. Also, a huge round of thanks must go to the many people who donated their valuable time to help make this event as successful as was!

The Grace Notes Music Foundation is pleased to announce the winner of the Grace Notes Martin Luther King, Jr. Performance Scholarship presented to the winner of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coordinating Committee Performing Arts Competition on January 14, 2017 at the Roosevelt Elementary School in West Palm Beach. 

This year's Grace Notes MLK Performance Scholarship recipient is Reche Nelson (pictured on left with Director of Jupiter Academy of Music Sandra Baran. Ms. Nelson is a senior at Dreyfoos High School of the Arts, and is auditioning to go to college and study dance in New York. 

The Grace Notes MLK Performance Scholarship is awarded annually at the Performing Arts Finalists Competition. This contest sponsored annually by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Coordinating Committee, features performances by talented students in the community. This contest is open to students in both public and private schools from all grade levels. The talents come from student dancers, pianists, singers, magicians, and other great talents.

Grace Notes Music Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization administers the Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships, and provides 16 students with music lessons. Carousel Concert-Thon is right around the corner!
It's the all-day musical concert event for the entire family. ​On February at Downtown at the Gardens, musicians from all over the area converge for a great day! ​The event will also feature a special performance by Grammy-Nominated Jamie Floyd and also, the Tom Floyd Quartet!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
AS WE GIVE THANKS! During this week of Thanksgiving
we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those
who have helped make it possible to continue our mission
​of "changing the world one note at a time". Learning music is a lifetime gift and thankfully so far during 2016 our foundation:

  • 16 Underserved students are taking private music
  • 6 Students attended a summer band camp,
  • Presented an interactive music program at a Peace
    Camp for at risk youth 
  • Instruments have been supplied to students who cannot afford their own
  • Tickets were purchased for a group of children to attend a strings concert
  • Our Teen team continues to grow. These are students who volunteer to help with our fundraising events and also share their music with the community

​Bach n' Billy was a huge success. A big THANK YOU to Kretzer Piano Music Foundation for making Jupiter Academy
of Music
's concert possible. The concert raised over $3,000 to go towards Grace Notes Foundation's music ​scholarships, and programs for children and teens.

Hats off to special guests from Paris Ballet and Dance!

It takes a lot of work to put a production like Bach n' Billy on stage. A huge thank you to the Teen Team, and everyone who volunteered to set up everything in the house, front of house, and back stage
...and then strike everything afterwards!

Bach n' Billy is tonight at 7:00 PM at the Harriet Himmel Theatre at CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach. Performances by Jupiter Academy of Music, and Paris Ballet Conservatory. Purchase tickets at the door!

​The Grace Notes Teen Team was busy helping and they set up for tomorrow night's Bach n' Billy Concert. There are many aspects which must be taken care of before an incredible event like this takes place!

Rehearsals are underway for the Bach n' Billy Benefit Concert on Tuesday, October 18, at 7:00 PM at the Himmel Theater. The event is sponsored by Kretzer Piano, and will Grace Notes Foundation provide music scholarships and programs for kids. Remember seating is limited so, get your NOW or at the door.

Last evening, 
Jupiter Academy of Music's Sandra Baran with along with pianists Melody Sze, and Jennifer Kyu rehearsed with Jean-Hugues Feray, and Paris Ballet and Dance. Rehearsals are in preparation for next week's production of Bach n' Billy at the Himmel Theatre. Paris Ballet and Dance will be performing two works in the concert.

Members of the Grace Notes Teen Team met today at the Jupiter Academy of Music Inc. to work on the upcoming Bach n' Billy  Benefit Concert on October 18. The Teen Team helps Grace Notes Foundation "change the world one note at a time" by volunteering with events, performing in the community, and helping with foundation outreach.

Another great performance is planned for October 18 by the Jupiter Academy of Music! Bach n' Billy will be at the Harriet Himmel Theatre at CityPlace in West Palm Beach. The production will feature performances of great classical composers, and a very special tribute to Billy Joel! Also, on the same bill will be special dances by Paris Ballet Conservatory!

There are also opportunities to be a sponsor, and for businesses and families to to advertise in the program book!

The Grace Notes Music Foundation presented a music education program at the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Camp on Saturday, July 16, 2016. The presentation for twelve students and six adults included an introduction to the rhythm pyramid, a music history lesson about the blues and culminated with the campers performing the 12 bar blues. This project was done in cooperation with the Jupiter Academy of Music and the Martin Luther King Coordinating Committee.

Grace Notes Music Foundation, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization administering the Makayla Joy Sitton Music Scholarships and providing fifteen students with music lessons. In the past year, the community outreach programming of the Foundation has also blossomed to reach even more children and teens. In addition to music outreach programs like the one at the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Camp, the following programs have provided music programming in our community.

● The Summer Scholar Program provides summer band/music camp scholarships.
● The Concerts for Kids Program makes it possible for children from local schools, aftercare programs, and nonprofit agencies to attend live music concerts and events.
● The Teen Team donates countless hours of volunteers work and created a ukulele ensemble known as the "Uke Group."
● The Instrument Loan and Grant Program helps provide instruments and financial assistance for underserved children in our community.

​As it grows, the Grace Notes Music Foundation's mission is to provide exceptional music education and performance opportunities for students from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds and to sponsor community enriching music events.
